WT Series Heavy Duty Telescopic Masts
Clark Masts WT Series range of heavy duty pneumatic telescopic masts have a base tube diameter of six inches and a maximum of nine telescopic sections. WT masts offer a very wide range of models and headload ranges from 15kg to 150kg and extended heights from 2m to 30m. The ideal telescoping communications mast. Masts can be vehicle mounted, field mounted and for maximum extended heights mounted using our roof trolley system.
Each telescoping mast section is keyed to prevent relative rotation to the next tube allowing the complete mast to be rotated from the ground with ease if directional headloads are being deployed. WT masts can be specified with locking or non locking (plain) collars depending on the type of application and with rotating or non rotating bases.
Bearing surfaces are fitted with nylon and PTFE to guarantee smooth and effortless extension and retraction in the most demanding climatic conditions. WT masts have been tested to MIL STD 810F. When each section is fully extended an automatic collet locking system provides complete rigidity when the mast is fully extended. Double Supertork is fitted as standard giving torsional stability of +/- 1.5 degrees. for enhanced torsional stability, our bespoke Triple Supertork System gives down to 0.1 degrees of stability, dependant upon mast model/size.
Accessories can be painted to match the mast.
Control Valve AB - 14567
A rotary air control valve to raise or lower the mast when connected to an air reservoir via an air pressure regulator (Cat no 16991)
Domed Locking Nuts
On masts fitted with Combined Collar (Locking collar) masts, the standard handles can be replaced with domed hexagon nuts for extra security. A hexagon key tool is required for operation.
Hand Pump - 41157
Hand pump for use with all Clark Masts, supplied with integral stand and 3m of air hose and bayonet connector.
Internal Extension Warning Switch
A factory fitted internal switch to alert the operator that the mast is not fully retracted.
Model 185 Powerpack
Model 185 Powerpacks are suitable for larger masts from WT to TM. Powered either by vehicle electrics 12 or 24v DC or by mains power 110 or 230v AC and operated by a remote control lead 2.5m long. A built in pressure switch cuts out when the mast reaches its preset level and cuts in only when required to top up the pressure thereby saving battery power. Supplied with power connection plug.
Nycoil Assembly
A Nycoil cable assembly can be used in conjunction with a spreader bar fitted to the mast head to guide, protect and manage cables for video cameras, antenna or other equipment fitted to the mast. Cables which are unable to be internally fitted such as coaxial can be routed externally in a strong, flexible protective nylon nycoil tube. When retracted the nycoil assembly sits coiled on the vehicle roof extending when the mast is operated.
Nycoil Basket
A basket assembly which fits around the mast to retain the Nycoil assembly when the mast is retracted, made to suit mast diameter.
Pressure Regulator c/w Gauge - 16991
A compact air pressure regulator to provide low pressure air for mast extension when used in conjunction with the vehicle air system and AB Control Valve.
Prop Stand
A folding tripod stand with spiked feet and adjustable legs, to allow attachment of head loads at a safe convenient height.
Spreader Bar Assembly - 44857
A spreader bar assembly to hold the nycoil tubing at the mast head complete with 24mm quick clamp fitting for antenna.
Top Guy Kit 4 way
A typical 4 way guying kit for top guy only, consisting of 4 x steel ground pickets, 4 guy rope assemblies, hammer and storage bag.
WT Mounting Bracket Lower - 14253
Supports the base of the mast when fitted to a vertical surface.
WT Mounting Bracket Upper - 14252
Used to mount the mast onto a vertical surface in conjunction with the lower mounting bracket
WT Roof Bearing - 14265
Used to provide a rotatable weatherproof bearing where the mast passes through the vehicle roof. It also supports the mast when used in conjunction with a lower mounting bracket.
WT Saddle Clamp - 1987
Normally used in pairs for when the mast needs to be quickly attached or removed to the vehicle or shelter. It is made from cast aluminium and specially designed to hold safely and securely yet prevent damage to the mast base tube.
