WT Roof Trolley

The WT Series Roof Trolley System is designed to transport a WT (6") Series mast and allow it to be erected where required. Roof trolleys allow very tall masts which would otherwise be impossible to be transported on a normal road vehicle, to be used easily and quickly by a single operator on a suitable vehicle fitted with a heavy duty roof rack.

In accordance with our recommendations, this vehicle is fitted with a stabilising beam and jack legs to provide extra stability. Once the vehicle is levelled the mast is slid to the rear of the vehicle on the roof trolley and pivoted down in a safe and contolled manner where it is locked into position ready to be extended.

An air supply is connected and the mast extended to its full height.

Once work is completed the mast is lowered and pivoted back into the transport position. A locking mechanism prevents the mast from moving during transport and under braking. Normally a canvas headcover is fitted to protect the mast collars in transit.
